Opportunity for a CAD Technician
About the Role:
As a CAD Tech you will collaborate closely with our Lifting Contracts Managers to design and draft solutions that meet the exacting demands of our projects. From developing 2D and 3D models to ensuring compliance with industry standards, your contributions will directly influence the success of our lifting and plant installation operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Drafting: Create detailed 2D and 3D models of crane components and lifting equipment using AutoCAD and Cranebee Software.
- Collaboration: Work with Lifting Contracts Managers to translate conceptual designs into accurate schematics that meet engineering specifications.
- Documentation: Assist in preparing technical documents to support project planning and operational execution.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure lift plans and technical drawings adhere to industry standards and safety regulations specific to lifting operations.
- Revisions & Updates: Modify and update existing designs and layouts to accommodate project changes or enhancements.
- File Management: Organize and maintain project files, ensuring documentation is structured and accessible.
- Team Coordination: Participate in project meetings, providing updates on CAD project progress and contributing to overall team success.
- Troubleshooting: Assist in refining lifting proposals to resolve challenges encountered during operations.

Qualifications & Experience:
- CAD Expertise: Proficiency in AutoCAD, including the management and creation of Dynamic Block libraries.
- Specialized Software: Experience with Cranimax Cranebee is advantageous, though not essential—training will be provided.
- Lifting Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with lifting practices, associated legislation, and equipment is beneficial.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision and problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration abilities.
- Independent & Team Work: Capability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
- General IT Skills: Competence in Microsoft Office and related software.
- Industry Awareness: Knowledge of engineering, construction, or architectural standards is a plus.
