Experienced Crane Erector / Technician, NVQ Level 2.

  • Working under the guidance of the Senior Erector and/or Erection Supervisor in the installation/removal of Tower Cranes in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and a job specific method statement.
  • Working with all relevant lift plans.
  • Understanding of mobile crane utilisation
  • A knowledge and understanding of relevant standards and ACOP’s (LOLER & BS7121).
  • Responsible for inspection and maintenance of allocated lifting accessories.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, can-do attitude and able to work as part of a team, reporting to the appropriate Supervisor and Site/Project Managers.
  • Confident communicator, able to liaise within the business and with customers.
  • Day-to-day record keeping.
  • Flexibility in working hours / weekend working.
  • Ability to be able to work / stay away from home.
  • Fit to work with no medical conditions which would prevent you from safely undertaking a physically demanding role.
  • Erect, dismantle, maintenance and repair operations of Tower Cranes.
  • Reporting directly to Supervisor/Manager. Communication between office, field-based colleagues and customer Site/Project Managers.
  • Ideally situated between Birmingham and London, along the M1/M40 corridor.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

We welcome applicants with the following:
  • At least 2 years’ experience in the erection and dismantle of tower cranes.
  • Work confidently under pressure and to time scales.
  • Awareness of H&S in the workplace.
  • Team player.
  • IT literate and willing to embrace new technologies.
  • Familiar with document control and use.
  • Excellent understanding of Tower Crane products.
  • Potain product trained – preferable.
  • Rescue at height trained – preferable.
  • NVQ Level 2 Plant Installations
  • CPCA A40 Slinger/Signaller – Competent
  • Clean UK Driving Licence
  • Excellent communication skills (Internal and External)
  • Excellent IT Skills (Outlook / Email, Report Writing)
