IMMEDIATE START – Experienced Tower Crane Project Engineer / Manager
We are looking for an excellent communicator with exceptional organisational and problem solving skills. This position would be suited to someone with a technical engineering mindset, with competency in AutoCAD, as well as good IT skills in the Microsoft Office suite. Previous experience in the construction industry would be useful.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
Main duties, but not limited to:
- Managing and running crane lifting operations.
- Preparing a safe system of work (SSOW) lifting plans and risk assessments.
- Coordinating with technicians and engineers to execute operations safely.
- Using sound business acumen to guide commercial decisions to achieve projects within budget.
- Producing logistic plans and traffic management plans.
- Attending site meetings as required and site surveys to assist in the production of drawings.
- Supporting the sales team by producing lifting plans and elevation drawings for exciting leads.
- Supporting ongoing technical research, development and innovation directly with manufacturers.
- Undertaking peer reviews for all technical documentation and planning.
- Utilising negotiation and communication skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.
- Ensuring all members of the lifting team are fully briefed on the operation.
As the Appointed Person for lifting operations, it is essential for you to hold the following qualifications and skills:
- A degree or background in Engineering or Architecture is desirable
- Proficient in the use of the full Microsoft Office suite
- CPCS Category A61 AP qualification Blue card
- NOCN Tower Crane and Crawler Crane modules if going on a project with such cranes.
- NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent
- Sound Knowledge of LOLER and experience managing Lifting Activities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Experience developing and reviewing complex lift plans
- LEEA, LOLER, PUWER
- Electrical Mechanical experience on plant or cranes.
- Previous experience as a Crane Engineer, Crane Technician, Lifting Engineer or Heavy Plant Engineer.
