At this time of year Radius Group colleagues would usually have organised a ‘Secret Santa’ exchange of gifts. This year we proposed something different.
Radius has always been charitable, donating to a range of organisations close to many of our hearts. The challenges of homelessness are sadly always present and have become more pronounced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Access to shelter, facilities and food have had an added barrier put between them and the people that so desperately need them.
In place of exchanging presents, the team have collected food, toiletries and small gifts for the Northampton Hope Centre Food Club. The Company has matched those donations for the local charity.
Based just around the corner from Radius’ Head Office, the Food Club provides access to food for people on low incomes and the homeless across Northampton.
Tina Fryer (Office Manager) who arranged delivery, returned with overwhelming feedback that beyond gratitude for the food items, chocolate selection boxes and children’s gifts would make somebody’s Christmas day special.
