JOB DESCRIPTION
- Main duties include accountability for the following:
- A knowledge and understanding of BS7121.
- Read and understand lift plans and be able to execute. Good attitude and able to work as part of a team, reporting to Line Manager, Appointed Person and Crane Supervisor.
- Responsible for inspection and maintenance of lifting accessories. Check all lifting accessories are in good working order. Remove any damaged or defective equipment from service.
- Slinging and Signalling loads.
- Agree suitable communication methods and signals prior to lift commencing
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Working under the guidance of the Senior Erector and/or Erection Supervisor in the installation/removal of Tower Cranes in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and a job specific method statement.
- Working with all relevant lift plans.
- Understanding of mobile crane utilisation
- A knowledge and understanding of relevant standards and ACOP’s (LOLER & BS7121).
- Responsible for inspection and maintenance of allocated lifting accessories.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, can-do attitude and able to work as part of a team, reporting to the appropriate Supervisor and Site/Project Managers.
- Confident communicator, able to liaise within the business and with customers.
- Day-to-day record keeping.
- Flexibility in working hours / weekend working.

- Ideally situated between Birmingham and London, along the M1/M40 corridor.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years’ experience in the erection and dismantle of tower cranes.
- Work confidently under pressure and to time scales.
- Awareness of H&S in the workplace.
- Team player.
- IT literate and willing to embrace new technologies.
- Familiar with document control and use.
- Excellent understanding of Tower Crane products.
- Potain product trained – preferable.
- Rescue at height trained – preferable.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Organising team and equipment for erection/dismantle operations.
- Control of all Senior Erectors, Erectors and Trainee Erectors.
- Control/coordination of any additional craneage and lifting equipment which could be used in the installation/removal operation, thereby fulfilling the role of the crane supervisor.
- Oversee installation/removal of Tower Cranes in accordance with the respective legislation, manufacturer’s instructions, industry best practice and a job specific method statement.
- Working with all relevant lift plans, ensuring that site conditions are in accordance with plans to enable a safe an effective operation.
- Ensuring that any additional craneage and equipment is in accordance with that specified and properly certified.
- Understanding of mobile crane utilisation.
- Ensuring that all erection personnel are equipped with the necessary tools and personal protective equipment.
- A knowledge and understanding of relevant standards and ACOP’s (LOLER & BS7121).
- Responsible for inspection and maintenance of lifting accessories.

Contract Lift Manager
ARE YOU A CONTRACT LIFT MANAGER?
We are looking to strengthen our Contract Lift Division with the appointment of a commercially minded Contract Lift Manager. Joining our team you will be a driven individual, with a ‘can do’ attitude and thrive on projects which require the ability to think outside of the box, operating within a fast-paced environment to provide a first class service to our customers.
THE ROLE
As a Radius Contract Lift Manager, you will be skilled in establishing lasting relationships with our clients. You will survey, quote, engineer, win and deliver your lifting projects to the highest standards found within our industry.
We work nationwide, dependent on project location, predominately operating in the Midlands and the South.
THE REQUIREMENTS
Essentially, you will already be operating as a competent Appointed Person, within the mobile crane hire and lifting industry, and demonstrate the technical knowledge of working regularly with mobile and/or crawler cranes of various capacity classes.
As well as:
- Being CPCS A61 accredited.
- Ideally holding A40 & A62 categories.
- Having a clear understanding of the statutory regulations such as LOLER & PUWER.
- Having a good working knowledge of industry ACOP’s such as BS7121
- Being commercially minded.
- Demonstrating the ability to take the lead with excellent communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office 365 suite.
- Holding a current Full driving license (UK).
