IMMEDIATE START – Plant Movement (Lift & Shift) Operatives
We are seeking skilled and motivated Plant Movement (Lift & Shift) Operatives to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be working alongside our experienced plant handling teams where we move, position, and install bespoke items of plant for our client base.
Plant Movement:
-
- Safely and efficiently move heavy plant machinery and equipment within various sites.
- Assist with the transportation, loading, and unloading of equipment using specialized plant handling equipment, cranes, and vehicles.
- Position plant and equipment and ensure proper alignment and levelling during installation.
Health & Safety:
-
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring that all tasks are carried out in a safe manner.
- Conduct risk assessments and follow safe work practices to minimize hazards.
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of safety procedures
Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and at heights.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications & Skills Required:

Education:

- Relevant trade qualifications advantageous in rigging and fleeting of loads, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- Proven experience on moving plant and equipment, or in a similar role within the heavy machinery or construction industry.
- Experience with lifting operations and the use of lifting equipment.
Skills:
- Forklift truck licences .
- IPAF 3a and 3b.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting layout drawings.
- Familiarity with jacking and skating of loads.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
