Project Overview

Radius supported the delivery of multiple hyperscale data centre developments within one of Europe’s most established digital infrastructure hubs.

Working across several facilities, Radius provided specialist lifting, plant installation, Appointed Person services and logistics support, helping to safely install critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure while maintaining progress throughout the construction programme. The projects formed part of a significant expansion of UK digital infrastructure, supporting the growing demand for cloud computing, digital services and AI-enabled technologies.

The Challenge

Data centre projects demand the installation of large, high-value mechanical and electrical equipment within busy construction environments operating to demanding programmes and strict installation requirements.

The works included the receipt, offload, lifting and positioning of major M&E plant, together with the installation of critical infrastructure including CRAH units, STS systems, PDUs, generators and modular equipment.

Many activities required careful sequencing, restricted access planning and close coordination between multiple contractors working simultaneously across site. Maintaining programme momentum while ensuring safe execution remained a key requirement throughout the project.
