First Shortlist for the CN Workforce Awards

Radius Group is celebrating further industry recognition after its Emergency Incident & Emergency Response Rescue Capability (EIERRC) framework was shortlisted in the Health & Safety Initiative category at the Construction News Workforce Awards 2026.

The latest shortlist follows earlier recognition at the Construction News Specialist Awards, where EIERRC was shortlisted for Training Excellence, highlighting the growing recognition of the framework across the construction industry.

Developed in partnership with The Soteria Group and Intervention Rescue, EIERRC was created with one simple aim – to help the industry become better prepared when an emergency happens.

Whilst many organisations have emergency procedures in place, EIERRC focuses on something different: giving people the practical skills, confidence and capability to respond effectively when every second counts. Bringing together trauma first aid, specialist rescue training and realistic emergency scenarios, the framework is helping to raise the standard of emergency preparedness across the industry.

“EIERRC was created with one clear purpose – to help the industry become better prepared for emergency situations. Every course we deliver and every organisation we work with is about giving people the confidence and practical skills to respond when it matters most.

Being recognised by Construction News again, is fantastic because it shows the industry sees the value in what we’re trying to achieve.”

Teddy Holt, Operations Director, Radius Group

Whilst the recognition is something to celebrate, the focus remains on continuing to support clients and the wider industry with practical emergency response training that helps people feel prepared should the worst happen. As the programme continues to grow, Radius Group remains committed to raising standards and sharing best practice across the industry.

The Construction News Workforce Awards celebrate the organisations and initiatives making a real difference to the people working across construction. We’re looking forward to joining the other finalists at the awards later this year.
