Jan Loach Presents at the TUTS Training Centre
Radius Group recently participated in a “Women in Construction” open day at the TUTS Training designed to encourage young women to explore career opportunities in the construction industry. The event showcased the diverse paths available and aimed to inspire the next generation of talent.
One of the key speakers was Radius Group’s HSEQC Manager, Jan Loach, who shared her personal career journey. She explained how she “found” herself in the field of health and safety due to limited career options when she started. Jan also highlighted the importance of embracing new technologies like the Skyline Cockpit, which is making worksites safer and more efficient, and helping to attract a new generation of workers.
Other speakers included Emily Jenkins and Claire Marcham from Lovell Partnerships, alongside Rebecca Heald and Paul Taylor of NOCN who brought their diverse perspectives on working in the sector. Each shared their experiences and challenges, offering inspiration and practical advice for those considering a career in construction.
This initiative represents Radius Group’s broader mission of driving positive change across the construction landscape and encouraging the next generation to play an active role in shaping its future. By embracing innovation and diversity, we continue to pave the way for a more inclusive and forward-thinking industry.
