Construction Specific Medical Incident Response Training
Last week, seven members of the Radius Group staff successfully completed a comprehensive enhanced first aid training program incorporating construction related trauma; developed and delivered in partnership by The Soteria Group. This specialised training, tailored for the lifting sector of the construction industry, is the best-in-class available today. It covers a wide range of construction-specific emergencies, including falls from height, crush injuries, sharp & blunt impacts, catastrophic hemorrhage, burns, chemical-related incidents, vehicle accidents, and medical issues in challenging environments such as at height and in restricted spaces.

After road-testing and fine-tuning these courses with The Soteria team, to meet the specific demands of our industry, sector and workforce, Radius is excited to announce that we are now offering four distinct enhanced training programs to our customers and related stakeholders. These courses range from introductory first aid training to more enhanced medical and medical incident response programs, designed to equip participants with the skills & confidence necessary to handle a variety of medical emergency situations on their jobsites.
Each course addresses real-world lifting & construction scenarios that are not typically covered in standard first aid programs, such as working at height, non-notional scenarios, casualty re-location, and working alongside emergency services. The immersive, practical approach ensures that participants are fully prepared to respond to medical incidents swiftly and confidently, helping to boost overall safety standards across construction sites and maximising the pre-hospital & pre-professional clinician care the teams can offer their colleagues. We are also developing site specific first aid kits to encompass the equipment likely needed in an emergency that is rarely provided or available.
This partnership with Soteria Group reflects Radius Group’s ongoing commitment to improving safety and well-being in the construction industry. By offering these enhanced, construction-focused trauma response training packages, we are setting new benchmarks for site safety and emergency preparedness, ensuring that both our teams and our clients are better equipped to handle critical situations; when they arise.
