Radius Group supported the delivery of a major hyperscale data centre project in Waltham Cross, providing mechanical installation, lifting support and logistics coordination across seven data halls. Due to the nature of the project, certain client and project details have been withheld. The development forms part of a significant investment into UK digital infrastructure and AI-enabled data centre capacity.

Working within a fast-paced construction environment, Radius delivered a managed mechanical installation package alongside full logistics coordination to support programme delivery across the site. The project required close coordination between installation teams, lifting operations and delivery management to maintain safe and efficient progress throughout the programme.

Scope of Works 

Radius delivered :

  • Mechanical installation across 7 data halls
  • Installation of floor studs and steel leg frameworks
  • Lifting and positioning of modular cooling systems using combi lifts
  • Installation of 6” and 12” process pipework
  • External pipefitting and mechanical connection works
  • Site supervision and coordination throughout delivery

Logistics & Planning

Alongside the installation works, Radius managed a comprehensive logistics strategy covering site deliveries, plant movements and material coordination. Over the course of the project, Radius coordinated more than 1,500 deliveries of plant, equipment and materials across a 10-month programme. This included:

➜ Coordination between trades and delivery teams

➜ Material flow planning across multiple work areas

➜ Ongoing site supervision to maintain safe operations
