Radius will deliver an integrated lifting solution to support Costain on the deconstruction works at Trawsfynydd Nuclear Power Station.
Under this appointment, Radius will deliver a fully managed lifting function; bringing together plant, people and planning under one accountable structure to support a complex, highly regulated infrastructure programme.
The scope includes tower cranes, crawler cranes and specialist plant, alongside full lifting teams, contract lift provision, Appointed Person services, lift planning and engineering-led methodology development.
This integrated approach is designed to reduce fragmentation, improve coordination and provide clear accountability across the lifting package – something that is particularly important on projects of this scale and complexity.
The programme will see Radius mobilise major plant and lifting teams to site, supporting Costain throughout the long-term decommissioning works. The appointment represents a significant commitment for Radius within a highly regulated nuclear environment.
Teddy Holt, Operations Director, said:
“Projects of this scale require more than equipment, they require leadership, engineering and accountability, with the right team to deliver it. At Trawsfynydd, Radius is delivering a fully integrated lifting solution that brings multiple cranes and lifting teams together, with dedicated appointed persons, under one coordinated fully managed lifting function. Good people doing good work.”
