Mobile Tower Crane Used for Hydro-Therapy Pool Installation
We are excited to share that we were able to provide a cost-effective lifting solution to Hot Tubs @ Home and help a local family. Our team was honoured when approached to help lift and install a Hydro-Therapy Pool for the family of a young girl living with disabilities. With the help of West Northants Council’s generous contribution and T.K Cable’s support with Traffic Management, signage, and barriers, we were able to make a difference.
So, what did we do:-
- Provided a mobile tower crane: Spierings SK597-AT4, inclusive of 1no CPCS A60 Crane Operator
- Produced bespoke lift plan documentation to include method statements, risk assessments, and all required crane drawings
- Supplied 1no CPCS A62 Crane Supervisor (Lift Supervisor) to manage all lifting and handling operations on site and 2no CPCS A40 Slinger/Signallers
- Arranged formal road closure for works duration to include Council Liaison, Application Documents & TM Drawings, License/ Application/Closure (TTRO) Fees, Chapter 8 (RTSM) Traffic Management Deployment/Recovery.
Working within a residential area comes with it’s own challenges as appose to on a building site, such as overhead telecom lines, low buried services, residents access, public interface, to simply disrupting the natural flow of traffic. The positioning of the Spierings SK597-AT4 (Self Erecting Tower Crane) was of paramount importance to ensure the working radius and crane capacity utilisation was within acceptable tolerance, whilst also ensuring sufficient stand off from the overhead telecom lines.
The operation began at 09:30hrs and we had completely de-mobilised and left site by 12:30hrs, resulting in minimum disruption to the local residents.
