Teddy Holt to Speak at ITC on Ground Control Tower Crane Operations

Radius Group, in partnership with Skyline Cockpit, is proud to announce its participation at the International Tower Cranes (ITC) Conference 2025, taking place on 3–4 June at the Cardo Roma, Autograph Collection hotel in Rome, Italy.

On Wednesday 4 June, Radius Operations Director, Teddy Holt, will be joined by Aviv Carmel, Co-Founder and Chairman of Skyline Cockpit, to deliver an informative case study exploring ground-based control of tower cranes. The presentation will draw on practical experience from Winvic Construction’s Lancaster Street project in Birmingham — the first deployment of this remote-control technology on a UK construction site.

This session will provide valuable insights into how remote crane operation can enhance site safety, improve operator conditions, and drive project efficiency. It will also examine the implications for crane design, training, and workforce planning — offering relevance to equipment distributors, manufacturers, and rental providers interested in the evolving demands of modern lifting operations.

Teddy Holt, Operations Director at Radius Group, said:
“The Lancaster Street project marked a pivotal step forward for remote crane operation in the UK. By operating a tower crane entirely from the ground, we demonstrated clear improvements in safety, operator welfare, and on-site coordination — without compromising on performance or precision. Sharing these learnings at ITC is a chance to engage with manufacturers, rental companies, and industry leaders on how this technology can be scaled and integrated into future projects across the sector.”

Organised by KHL Group, ITC is the leading global event for the tower crane industry. The conference attracts senior professionals from across the lifting sector, providing a platform to discuss innovation, regulatory developments, and the future of crane technology.

We are excited to contribute to the conversation on the future of lifting, highlighting how strategic partnerships and innovation are transforming the construction landscape.
